Women's Soccer Team Coming To Santa Clarita
New team holding tryouts Feb. 28.
Professional soccer is coming to Santa Clarita.
Premier Soccer Santa Clarita Valley will begin play in the
Women’s Premier Soccer League in May. The team is holding tryouts at the end of
the month, Feb. 28, beginning at 10 a.m. at Central Park.

“This team and its league affiliation is a perfect fit for
women that would like to continue competing at a high level after their college
experience,” coach Steve Cooper said in a release.
The WPSL consists of 60 teams in four divisions across the
country. The Premier Soccer Santa Clarita Valley team will play 14 regular season games from May until July. Seven games will be played in Santa
Clarita.
