Valley Fair Kicks Off Today
Saugus Speedway transformed into a fairground.
Starting this afternoon, the Valley Fair will open its gates to the public. The fair offers a variety of fun and entertainment, including carnival rides, concerts, exotic animals and local demonstrations.
The Fair runs through Sunday, with general admission running $7 for adults, $4 for seniors and children under 11 years old. However, on Thursday, children get in free. A special adult admission price of $5 will also be granted for those who arrive on Thursday or Friday before 5:00 p.m.
The hours for the fair are as follows:
- Thursday, June 26th: 4-10 p.m.
- Friday, June 27th: 4-11 p.m.
- Saturday, June 28th: 12:00 p.m. to 11 p.m.
- Sunday, June 29th: 12:00 p.m. – 10 p.m.
Headlining the entertainment for the fair on Saturday is hit rock group Ambrosia. Country Pop legend Juice Newton will take the stage Sunday night.

The Valley Fair will also put on attractions like: Bengal Tiger and “Wild About Monkeys” shows, Amazing Rainforest exotic animals, MTV "Pimp My Ride" cars, home, arts and livestock exhibits, kids go cart races, carnival rides and a video game pavilion.
