According to Sherry Rollman of the Angeles National Forest, firefighters made good progress toward early containment, comtinued to mop-up and construct a direct line around the fire. Residents in the Green Valley area may continue to see and smell smoke in the area as firefighters mop up hot spots. Residets are urged to be alert for fire equipment traveling in and out of the fire area.

Agencies working together on the firefighting effort are the US Forest Service, LA County Fire Department, California Highway Patrol and the LA County Animal Care and Control.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
