Two Arrested In Castaic For Drugs, Gun
Suspicious car leads deputies to investigate, arrest two.
Deputies arrested two men in Castaic early Sunday morning for possession of a stolen gun and methamphetamine for sale.

While on routine patrol of a parking lot in the 31000 block of Lake Hughes Road, deputies spotted a suspicious car with beer cans on the trunk. Approaching the car, they smelled burnt marijuana, which prompted them to ask the driver, Antonio Duran, 25, and passenger, Jimmy Beserra, 27, to get out of the car.
Upon searching the vehicle, they found methamphetamine in the car’s console and discovered that Beserra had a stolen gun in his possession. Both men were arrested and transported to Santa Clarita station for booking.
Duran is being held on suspicion of felony possession of methamphetamine for sale with bail set at $30,000; Beserra’s bail for suspicion of felony possession of a stolen handgun is set at $35,000. Both are scheduled to appear in court on Tuesday.
