Canyon Theatre Guild “The Fox On The Fairway”
When:  Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm on June 14, 15, 21 and 22; Sunday at 2pm on June 16
Where:  Canyon Theatre Guild, 24242 Main Street, Old Town Newhall
Details:  Canyon Theatre Guild has the Ken Ludwig high comedy “The Fox on the Fairway”.  “The Fox on the Fairway is the playwright’s tribute to the great English farces of the 1930s and 1940s.  It takes audiences on a hilarious romp which pulls the rug out from underneath the stuffy denizens of a private country club.  Filled with mistaken identities, slamming doors, and over-the-top romantic shenanigans, it’s a furiously paced comedy that recalls the Marx Brothers’ classics.”  One perfectly sublime reason to attend the show is to see the superb actress, Nancy Lantis in her “Home Sweet Home” dress.  KHTS has a special connection with “The Fox on the Fairway”, KHTS’ own wildly entertaining Morning Man, George Cummings is the male lead in the comedy.   And, since I’m being nagged, I must mention here, that the dulcet tones of another KHTS employee is part of this production.  I’ve been able to narrow my comments to: Kyle “The Jellyman” Jellings is the best golf announcer I’ve ever heard at the Canyon Theatre Guild. Tickets are $12 and $15.  Tickets are available by calling 799-2702.  More information and directions are available online.
