Grace Baptist “Passion Play”
When:  Thursday, March 28 at 7:30pm; Friday, March 29 at 7:30pm; and Saturday, March 30 at 3:00pm
Where:  Grace Baptist, 22833 Copper Hill Drive, on the corner of Copperhill & Secc Canyon
Details:  Grace Baptist    invites everyone to their “Passion Play” production that depicts the life and death of Jesus.  “This stirring, dramatic reenactment combines cast, choir and orchestration to explain the heart of God’s plan to restore a relationship with mankind.”  Tickets are now on sale.  More information is available by calling  661-296-8737 or online.  

Repertory East Playhouse “Boeing-Boeing”
When:  now through April 13 with show times at 8pm on Fridays and Saturdays and 2pm on Sundays
Where:  Repertory East Playhouse, 24266 Main Street, Old Town Newhall
Details:  The non-stop comedy Boeing-Boeing is playing at Repertory East Playhouse.   The comedy takes place in the 60’s and follows a fun-loving and ‘swinging’ bachelor and his three stewardess fiancés.  Things go into overdrive when the new Boeing jet throws his detailed time schedule into shambles.  Tickets are available by calling 661-288-000 or online

Real Life Church “Celebrate Easter”
When:  Friday, March 29 through Sunday, March 31
Where:  RealLifeChurch, 23841 Newhall Ranch Road, at the corner of Newhall Ranch and Grandview
Details:  Real Life Church   “Celebrates Easter” all weekend long.  Internationally known artist, author and storyteller, Joe Castillo will share the story of Christ’s resurrection through sand art.  Children can experience “The Wonder of It Allfeaturing a live giraffe for elementary school age kids, and a petting zoo for preschoolers, during class time.  The first weekend in April, L.A. Laker A.C. Green will be special guest speaker.

Canyon Theatre Guild “Hairspray”
When:  Fridays and Saturdays at 8pm on:  March 30, April 5, 6, 12, 13, 19 and  20; Saturdays and Sundays at 2pm on: April 7, 13, 14, 20 and 21

Vasquez Rocks-Depiction of the Life of Jesus Christ
When:  Saturday, March 30 at 2pm and Sunday, March 31 at 5am

Details:  Everyone is invited this Easter weekend for a life-changing, awe inspiring, unforgettable service – depicting the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.  The pageant style production features music, authentic costumes and village set decorations.  Paramount Studios donated materials and labor to build a historic “Tomb” for the resurrection.  The services are sponsored by the alliance of Christian Churches of Acton.  Admission is free.  Visit the website: TheSunRiseService.com

Dr. Thomas Polucki  – Free Learn Basic Acupressure Therapy Class

Child & Family “Family Fun Bike Ride”
When:  Saturday, March 30 starting with check-in at 10:30am
Where:  Start is at the Westfield Valencia Town Center parking area at the corner of MagicMountain and Citrus Street
Details:  Child and Family  is again holding their Family Fun Bike Ride.  The ride is suited for entry-level riders.  It follows a six mile path without hills.  Riders can share in water and refreshments along the route.  Each child will receive a “SC2 Cow Bell”, similar to the ones used at Amgen.  Participants are encouraged to stay for the other fun and entertainment planned for the day.  Children are free, adults are $10 each.  Parents will need to complete a waiver on each minor child.  Proceeds benefit Child & Family Center.  Register at the event or online.  

Elkins Ranch Golf Course – Family Golf
When:  Saturday, March 30 from 1-6pm
Where:  Elkins Ranch Golf Course, 1386 Chambersburg Road, Fillmore
Details:  Elkins Ranch Golf Course   has an afternoon of Family Fun Golf.  They will have a putting course (miniature golf style), Easter egg hunt, family golf clinic, family golf games and family golf.  Admission fee is $15 per participant and includes: clinic, games, golf, hot dog dinner, fountain sodas and prizes.  For more information and registration call 805-524-1121 or online.  

Project Kindle “Moments In Time, Prom 2.0”
When:  Saturday, March 30 starting at 6pm
Where:  Bridgeport Clubhouse, 27002 Edgewater Lane, Valencia (approach from McBean Parkway)
Details:  It’s time to grab your prom dresses and tuxes for Kindle Projects “Moments In Time, Prom 2.0” is a unique fundraiser that takes us back in time to our high school prom days.  The music and dress will span the decades of prom years.  A King and Queen of the Prom will be crowned.  Ticket are $50 each or $350 for a table of eight.  Proceeds benefit Project Kindle scholarships to Kindle Ranch Day Camp and SCV SKY.  Tickets and more information are available by calling 661-257-1901.

Where:  College of the Canyons University Center, 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road, Valencia
Details:  Michael D. Antonovich, Los Angeles County Supervisor, and the Santa Clarita Valley Chamber of Commerce are holding a “Contracting Connections Workshop & Networking” event.  This event is for all SCV businesses interested in government contracting opportunities, guidelines and resources.  Participants will connect with over 30 departments and agencies at featured workshops.  Learn about bid opportunities with the County and State.  More information and registration is available online.

Where:   College of the Canyons Black Box Theater on the Valencia Campus, Rockwell Canyon Road, Valencia
Details:  The College of the Canyons Theatre contemporary production, suburbia, is about “re-invention and the American dream and tells the story of the nighttime activities of a group of aimless 20-somethings still living in their suburban New Jersey hometown.”  This play is not recommended for children – due to profanity and adult situation.  Children under age 5 will not be allowed into the theater.  Tickets are available by calling 661-259-7800 or online

Lancaster Performing Arts Center – Craicmore

Special Olympics & Hoops Of Hoop Shoot-A-Thon
When:  Saturday, March 30 from 10am-4pm
Where:  Santa Clarita Sports Complex, 20807 Centre Pointe Parkway at Golden Valley Parkway
Details:  The one of a kind fundraiser, Special Olympics & Hoops of Hoop Shoot-A-Thon is sure to bring fun for everyone.  This year’s goal is 6,000 baskets.  There will be special guests, half-court shot contests and raffles.  Proceeds benefit Special Olympics Santa Clarita Valley & Tri-Valley and Hoops of Hope. City Splash & Dash Egg Hunt
When:  Saturday, March 30 at 10am
Where:  Santa Clarita Aquatic Center, 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway at Golden Valley Parkway
Details:  The City of Santa Clarita  is holding their Fourth Annual Splash & Dash Egg Hunt for our little ones – ages 10 and under.  At this free event, kids can collect eggs with prizes in the heated water slide pool.    A parent must accompany all children to the center and are encouraged to swim with their child.  Life jackets are available at no charge.  Donations to the Santa Clarita Food Pantry will be collected.

City Eggstravaganza
When:  Saturday, March 30 at 10am
Where:  Central Park, 27150 Bouquet Canyon Road, Santa Clarita
Details:  Grab your Easter baskets and join the City of Santa Clarita’s Eggstravaganza.  Kids can search for “goodies left by Mr. E. Bunny”.  The “Egg Scramble” begins promptly at 10am.  The event is free and no registration is required.

Details:  Ice Station Valencia has the Coolest Camp in Santa Clarita.  Kidtastic runs from June 17-August 9, Monday through Friday.  Kidtastic offers ice skating lessons, crafts and games.  Polar Bears (ages 7-12) and Penguins (ages 4-6) participate in broomball, introduction to speed skating and hockey, play in the snow, and more.  Every Friday, both Penguins and Polar Bears compete in Ice Station Valencia Winter Olympics.  For more information call 661-775-8686 or online.
