    Sarah Alarid's Memorial Attended By Hundreds

    Hundreds attended Sarah Alarid's memorial service, held at Real Life Church on Saturday, January 19.

    Sarah was remembered through songs, a photo montage and inspiring testimonies from friends and family, according to KHTS' host Alex Urbina.

    Community support for the Alarid family has continued to be strong since Sarah was found in Angeles National Forest on January 9.

    Five days after Search and Rescue recovered Sarah Alarid’s body from Angeles National Forest near Sand Canyon Road, the coroner has determined the cause of death to be accidental multiple blunt force injuries.

    It has only been two days since Sarah Alarid’s car and body were discovered in the Angeles National Forest, and already the community support has been very meaningful, family members said Friday.

     A Search and Rescue Team with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station was not able to locate any trace of Sarah Alarid, 19, of Canyon Country, or her vehicle, said Tony Buttitta, coordinator for the Sheriff's Station's search team Saturday.

    "Right now, the homicide detectives are out here and they're talking to people. They've organized a bunch of her friends and family in the Sand Canyon area and they're going door to door," Buttitta said. 

    Alarid, 19, of Santa Clarita was last seen leaving a party on New Year's Day in her silver Ford Focus hatchback, license plate No. 4WXE737.
