    Santa Clarita Valley Detectives Nab 7 Suspects In Bike Path Robberies

    Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station officials have arrested a seventh and final suspect in connection with a series of armed robberies, officials said Tuesday. Raymond Gatica, 21, of Canyon Country, was arrested in June in connection with three reports of armed robberies committed in May. Pedro Palacios, 19, of Canyon Country, was arrested in July. The last suspect, a juvenile, was arrested over Labor Day weekend, according to Sheriff's Station officials.

    In-Law Fight Leads To False Police Report Charge In Saugus (W/ 911 Tape)

    Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies arrested a Santa Clarita woman after a fight with her in-law led to an alleged false police report Thursday, officials said. Tania Pena, 56, of Saugus, called sheriff’s deputies to her mother-in-law’s house on the 23300 block of Lady Linda Lane, after an argument, according to Sheriff’s Station offiicials. “We responded to a 911 call, and the woman calling said her mother-in-law was pointing a shotgun at her,” said Lt. Brenda Cambra of the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
