A Los Angeles Superior Court Judge ruled Thursday that Castaic Lake Water Agency must revoke their wholesale water structure rate put in place last July, Newhall County Water District officials said in a press release Friday.
Five local water utilities reported that Santa Clarita Valley ground water meets state standards for safe drinking. The report also addressed perchlorate levels. The chemical has been in the news recently because it affects the thyroid gland.
The Newhall County Water District is two identical free sessions on Tuesday, giving residents and business owners an opportunity to learn about and discuss water coalitions and the chloride issues facing the Santa Clarita Valley.
