Six West Nile virus samples have been found in Santa Clarita Valley this summer, the most recent being a dead bird and a “positive” mosquito.
Four birds identified in the Los Angeles County have been diagnosed with the West Nile virus. Two of those birds were found in Valencia.
The Greater Los Angeles County Vector Control District has confirmed more West Nile virus (WNV) positive test results in 25 mosquito samples and three dead birds collected throughout its jurisdiction, including Santa Clarita.
