    Santa Clarita Valley Lawmakers Discuss California's $156.4B Budget

    Santa Clarita Valley lawmakers discussed the last-minute budget approval that took place Sunday. The state’s Constitution set Sunday as a deadline for the spending plan’s approval.     Santa Clarita City Council Race '14: Last Look At Campaign Disclosures, Votes

    Santa Clarita City Council race is less than 10 days away, candidates have filed their last campaign disclosures before voters hit the ballots and nearly 7,000 votes have been cast. In the last three City Council elections, votes by mail report have shown a turnout of about 2-to-1 in favor of mail-in or absentee ballots for Santa Clarita. In 2012, slightly more than 11,600 of the 15,390 votes cast were sent by mail. Only 3,783 votes were cast at the polls on election day. Absentee or mail-in ballots may be submitted up until the close of polls on election day, said Susan Caputo, assistant city clerk, noting that 6,888 ballots already have been received.

    The best way to understanding the credit score system is to look at it like a game.  Like any game, know what your objective is (like getting the ball in the basket), the rules, and most importantly what are the penalties. Creditors created this game, with the objective to make more money. We play, hoping to stretch our income and maybe even save money.  But, creditors are at an advantage.
