With a dedication to fighting breast cancer through early detection and timely treatments, the Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center is offering a special price for digital screening mammograms during the month of May. Patients who are uninsured, have high deductibles, or whose insurance plans are not contracted by Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital can receive a routine screening mammogram for the special cash price of $160.

The Santa Clarita Home and Garden Show and Emergency Expo were well attended Saturday. Guests could enjoy booths from 112 vendors and a disaster demonstration from Henry Mayo Hospital. The event continues Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Henry Mayo hosts support group for those mourning and grieving the death of an adult loved one

Each person responds differently to the death of someone who has been important to them. And although grief is a normal and necessary process to help one adjust to a loss, it’s not a process that has to be endured alone. For that reason, Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital is hosting a Grief Support Group to help all those who are mourning and grieving the death of an adult loved one.
