    Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station Deputies Keeping Close Eye On Parolees

    The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station’s Crime Prevention Unit is keeping a close eye on parolees in its patrol area, said station officials, who released new numbers Thursday.

    “Our primary responsibility as law enforcement is to keep the community safe,” said Sheriff’s Station Deputy Josh Dubin.

    Forest Service Reports Equipment Theft At Texas Canyon Station

    Over $40,000 worth of equipment was stolen from storage containers at the Forest Service Texas Canyon Station near Santa Clarita early this week, according to the U.S. Forest Service. The stolen items include about 30 chainsaws, four generators, an arc welder, and a variety of hand tools.

    Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station Crime Reports 2/18 to 2/24

    A sweep of massage parlors by the Sheriff's Department's Major Crimes Bureau led to two arrests for prostitution this week, as well as five citations for those businesses, in the wrap-up for the week in crime.

    Deputies also made a quick arrest in the case of a Newhall man who's now facing assault charges for breaking into a Canyon Country home.

    Linda Ditrich, of Stevenson Ranch, was arrested on a prostitution charge at Aqua Pearl Day Spa at the 31800 block of Castaic Road.
