Caltrans will implement two closures this week as part of the ongoing effort to create a carpool lane in the San Fernando Valley and to improve the pavement between Vista Del Lago and Kern County Line in Gorman.
Two Caltrans construction projects will affect traffic on Interstate-5 this week. Caltrans will close southbound I-5 in the San Fernando Valley Monday night through Wednesday morning and reopen the Gorman Road on-ramp to northbound I-5 on Wednesday.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) plans to implement closures as part of a pavement improvement project on the Golden State Freeway (I-5) between Vista Del Lago Road and the Kern County line as well closures for a project that is constructing a truck lane on southbound I-5 between Pico Canyon Road/Lyons Avenue and the Antelope Valley Freeway (SR-14). Ramp closures will be staggered.
The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will implement a bypass lane on the northbound Golden State Freeway (I-5) just south of the Gorman Road overcrossing beginning June 3 at 5 a.m. through November 2013 while crews pave the two right lanes of northbound I-5. The two right lanes will be closed to traffic.
