There are still several months before the 16th annual Santa Clarita Valley Relay for Life, but signups are already open to register teams and local event organizers are hosting a series of "Tech Nites" to help supporters get the word out online.
SCVi Charter School in Castaic hosted the second annual Recess Relay at Castaic Lake on Friday, May 10 for their kindergarten through 11th grade students, to raise money for the Santa Clarita Valley Relay for Life.
The 15th annual SCV Relay for Life begins 10 a.m. Saturday at Central Park. The 24-hour event will honor cancer survivors and remember those who lost the battle. Longtime cancer advocate Heather Warrick will be remembered during the Luminaria ceremony.
