    The Santa Clarita WorkSource Center nominates local movie buffs to apply for positions as assemblers for the Academy Awards. Adecco representatives are scheduled to conduct interviews at College of the Canyons every Thursday.

    '12 Years A Slave' Solomon Northup Related To Santa Clarita Resident

    Steve McQueen's "12 Years a Slave," was named Best Picture at the Academy Awards on March 2. Santa Clarita resident Michelle Linzy is directly descended from Solomon Northup, who is the protagonist of the movie and author of the book on which it is based.
