Deputies were called to the U.S. Bank, which is housed
within the Pavilions Market on McBean Parkway,
at 9:45 a.m. after the suspect took
approximately $3,000 from one of the tellers.

“He walked up to the teller with a plastic bag and told her ‘let’s
keep this quiet and do this quickly, give me the money,’” said Sgt. Ron Price
of the Santa Clarita station. “He got somewhere between $2,500 and $3,500.”

The suspect, who is described as a white male of stocky
build and between the ages of 35 and 40, was wearing a black cap and jacket. He
was last seen running from the Pavilions Market on foot.

“We detained a few people, but they turned out not to be the
guy,” Price said.

Anyone with information about the robbery or whereabouts of
the suspect is encouraged to call the sheriff’s station at (661) 255-1121.
