The caller reported that someone was shooting at
their house and that the entire family was laying on the floor to avoid
being hit by the gunfire.

Deputies arrived and detained 10
individuals who were reportedly partying at the remote location.  Deputies
determined the suspects had been drinking and were allegedly shooting at beer
can targets without regard for the nearby residence and highway.  Deputies
recovered 3 semi-automatic handguns, a rifle, several boxes of ammunition, and
expended shell casings at the location.

Seven suspects were booked at the Santa Clarita Valley
Station, including Juan Velasquez, 21, of Chatsworth; Anthony Carrillo, 18,
of Canoga Park; Carlos Pastrana, 21, of Canoga Park; Veronica Gonzalez, 20,
of Canoga Park; Lluliana Gonzalez, 23, of North Hills; James Torres, 20, of
Northridge; and Christian Cruz, 18, of Canoga Park were each on suspicion
of negligent discharge of a firearm, which is a felony.  They are each
being held in lieu of $25,000 bail.  Suspect Pastrana is being held without
bail pending immigration proceedings.
