The SCVSenior
Center
,

22900
Market  Street
,
will be the location of an e-waste
collection on Sunday, March 29 between the hours of and

The GRANDS (Giving Respect And Nurturing to Deserving
Seniors) Project is spearheading this drive to raise funds for the center. It’s
the perfect opportunity to start your spring cleaning by recycling your old or
unwanted computer equipment, TVs, GPS and FAX machines, stereo systems and
speakers, copiers and calculators, cellular phones and telephones, video games
and consoles (please include all accessories), empty inkjet cartridges, digital
cameras and iPods with accessories, PDAs/Palm Pilots with all accessories, and DVD
movies in original packaging.

GRANDS will be using two different recyclers for this
effort. Electronic Waste International is a licensed California
authorized Recycler and Collector. In addition, some goods will be refurbished,
remanufactured, or repaired when possible by the Cartridges for  Kids Program, a Colorado-based certified EPA recycler.
Salvaged items will be  donated to
military service men and women or re-sold with the goal of re-use instead of
waste.
