Congratulations to Shane Vereen from Valencia High School for being selected as Lockheed Federal Credit Union "Player of the Week."

The Valencia Viking sophomore tailback is making a habit of scoring a lot of touchdowns in Foothill League games this season. In last Friday's game against Burbank, he turned in his second straight four touchdown performance, scoring on runs of 34, 8, 5, and 2.

He added 191 rushing yards on 18 carries for an average of 10.61 yards per carry and led the Viking team with 54 yards receiving on four catches, as the Vikings improved to 6-1 overall and 2-0 in Foothill League games with the 35-7 victory.

For his production, Lockheed Federal Credit Union will donate $250.00 to the Valencia Booster Club.
