In college baseball, The Master’s College was ranked No. 20 in the final NAIA national poll.
The Mustangs finished the season with a 35-18 record and dropped six spots after making an early exit in the NAIA national baseball tournament.
Steve Karkenny from The Master’s College was selected to the NAIA All America team.
The junior outfielder hit .373 with six home runs and a team-high 45 RBIs. He also stole 28 bases and scored 45 runs.
Karenny was selected to the All-Golden State Athletic Conference team and earned a gold glove. He didn’t make an error in 123 chances.

The Kings dug a hole in Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Final against the New York Rangers, but climbed out of it in overtime.
The Kings beat the Rangers, 3-2, in overtime to take a 1-0 lead in the Stanley Cup Final.
The Rangers were up 2-0 after the first period. But the Kings scored three unanswered goals to win the game.
Justin Williams scored the game-winner in overtime.
Game 2 of the Stanley Cup Finals is at Staples Center on Saturday.

In the major leagues, the Los Angeles Dodgers lost to the Chicago White Sox, 2-1. Dee Gordon got the only two hits and scored the only run for the Dodgers.
They dropped two of three games to the White Sox and went 4-6 on their homestand.
The Dodgers have the day off. They start a weekend series against the Rockies in Colorado on Friday night.
