Santa Clarita Sports: Santa Clarita Christian Girls Soccer Remain Unbeaten

The Santa Clarita Christian girls soccer team played the Archer School for Girls to a scoreless draw and kept its unbeaten streak alive.

The Santa Clarita Christian girls improved to 15-0-3 overall on the season. They are 5-0-1 in the Liberty League. Archer is in first place in the Liberty League with a 6-0-1 record.

The Santa Clarita Christian girls recorded their 11th shutout in a row. They have outscored their opponents, 123-7, this season.

Santa Clarita HIgh School Basketball

In high school basketball, the Valencia and Canyon girls meet tonight in a game for first place in the Foothill League.

The Valencia girls are undefeated at 7-0 in the Foothill League. Canyon is in second place at 6-1. The game is at Canyon High.

The Hart girls are on the road against Golden Valley.

The West Ranch girls are home for a game against Saugus.

On the boys side, Hart will look to keep its undefeated record in league intact against Golden Valley.

The Canyon boys are home for a game against Valencia.

The surging West Ranch boys are home against Saugus, winless in the Foothill League.

Los Angeles Sports Report

In the NHL, the Kings beat the visiting Columbus Blue Jackets, 2-1 in overtime, and snapped a four-game losing streak.

Robyn Regehr scored the game-winner in overtime.

The Kings and the rest of the NHL are off for the next few weeks for the Winter Olympics. The Kings will be back on the ice against the Colorado Avalanche on Feb. 26.
