Santa Clarita Sports: Hart Girls Soccer In Semifinals Of CIF Playoffs

The Hart girls soccer team is in the semifinals of the CIF Southern Section playoffs for the first time in seven years.

Hart knocked out Sunny Hills, 5-4 on penalty kicks in the quarterfinals of the Division 2 playoffs. Sunny Hills was the No. 1 seed in the playoffs.

Sarah Lindborg scored the game-winner in the fifth round of penalty kicks to send the Hart girls into the final four. The two teams played to a scoreless draw in regulation.

The Hart girls play West Torrance on Tuesday at Hart High.

The Hart boys were eliminated from the Division 2A playoffs after losing 55-42 to Tustin in the quarterfinals.

In college basketball, The Master’s College women beat Hope International, 85-70, in the regular season and Golden State Athletic Conference finale.

The Master’s College women, ranked No. 7 in the NAIA, improved to 22-7 and finished in second place in conference.

The College of the Canyons women lost to Pasadena City College, 77-59, in the first round of the California Community College Athletic Association Southern California Regional playoffs.
