The College of the Canyons men’s golf team made some history in the first Western State Conference match of the season.
The COC men’s golf team set the course record at Valencia Country Club with a team score of 367. They won the tournament by 33 strokes over Santa Barbara City College.

In college softball, College of the Canyons lost to Cypress College, 6-5. Kori Cochran went 2-for-3 and drove in two runs for COC.
The COC women dropped to 0-2 on the season.
In college baseball, the College of the Canyons lost to Orange Coast College, 11-0. COC collected only four hits in the game and lost its third game in a row.
In high school soccer, the Santa Clarita Christian girls played to a scoreless draw against Pacifica Christian in a Liberty League game.
The Santa Clarita Christian girls kept their unbeaten record alive at 15-0-4. Lacey Lehman recorded the shutout in goal. The Santa Clarita Christian girls have shut out 12 teams in a row.

In the NBA, the Clippers beat the visiting Portland Trail Blazers, 122-117, and won their third game in a row.
The Clippers head into the All-Star weekend with a 37-18 record. Their next game is against the San Antonio Spurs on Tuesday.
Sochi Winter Olympics Update – Medal Count
In the Winter Olympics, the United States won gold and silver in the women’s snowboarding halfpipe. Kaitlyn Farrington won the gold. Kelly Clark won the bronze.
The United States has won nine medals of the first six days of the Olympics in Sochi. Norway leads the medal count with 12.
