Santa Clarita Sports: College Of The Canyons Baseball Struck Out In Playoffs

The Kings are a game away from completing the greatest comeback in franchise history.

The Kings play the Sharks in Game 7 of the opening round of their Stanley Cup playoff series. The Kings were down 3-0, but have won three games in a row to tie the series.

Only four teams in NHL history have rebounded after losing the first three games of a playoff series.

The Kings are coming off a 4-1 win over the Sharks at Staples Center on Monday night.

In college baseball, College of the Canyons lost to East LA College, 6-5, and was eliminated from the California Community College Athletic Association playoffs.

East LA scored two runs in the bottom of the eighth inning to win the game.

COC finishes with a 19-17-1 record.

In college golf, the College of the Canyons men’s team won the Western State Conference championship at Brookside Golf Club.

The COC men earned a berth in the Southern California Championships at Pauma Valley Country Club on Monday.

The Cougars won the state golf championship in 2013. They have won five conference championships in a row and 20 overall.

Los Angeles Sports Report

In the NBA, the Los Angeles Clippers beat the Golden State Warriors, 113-103, in Game 5 of their opening round playoff series on the same night Clippers owner Donald Sterling was banned from the team for life in response to racist comments the league said he made in a recorded statement.

The Clippers are up, 3-2, in the series. Game 6 is in Oakland on Thursday.

In the major leagues, the Los Angeles Dodgers were rained out against the Twins in Minnesota. The game will be part of a doubleheader on Thursday.

The Dodgers and Twins are set to play tonight. Zack Greinke is tabbed to start for the Dodgers against Kyle Gibson for the Twins.

First pitch is at 5:10.
