The Hart boys basketball team rallied in the second half and beat West Ranch, 73-68, in the Foothill League opener for both teams.
Lewis Stallworth scored 23 points to lead Hart. He scored 13 points in the final three minutes of the game.

West Ranch had an 11-point lead in the first half. The Wildcats were up 37-33 at halftime.
Davis Koppenhaver scored 19 points for Hart. Alec Rodriguez led West Ranch with 14 points.
The Canyon boys basketball team won its Foothill League opener, 68-33, over Golden Valley. Canyon led 34-14 at halftime.

Jackie Saucer scored 25 points and had six steals for Einstein. The Rockets improved to 9-2 overall and are undefeated at 6-0 in the Omega League.
The Canyon girls basketball team beat Golden Valley, 56-33, in the Foothill League opener for both teams.
The Hart girls beat West Ranch, 64-45. The score was tied 32-32 at halftime. Whitney Branham scored a game-high 29 points for West Ranch. Julia White led Hart with 16 points.
The Valencia girls beat Saugus, 69-47.
In high school soccer, the Valencia girls beat Saugus, 3-2. Bailey Reid scored two goals for Valencia.
The Hart girls beat West Ranch, 5-1.
The Canyon girls shut out Golden Valley, 5-0. Canyon freshman Alyssa Aguilar had a hat trick.
On the boys side, West Ranch shut out Hart, 1-0. Eddie Montes scored his first goal of the season.
The Saugus boys shut out Valencia, 1-0.
The Golden Valley and Canyon boys played to a 1-1 draw.
In college basketball, The Master’s College women, ranked No. 9 in the NAIA, beat Hope International, 84-72, in the Golden State Athletic Conference opener for both teams.
The Master’s College men, ranked No. 25 in the NAIA, lost to Hope International, 74-65, in their conference opener.

In the NBA, the Lakers lost to the visiting Cleveland Cavaliers, 120-118. The Lakers have lost five games n a row. They are off to Phoenix for a game against the Suns tonight.
