    Former President Gerald Ford Dies

The 38th President of the United States Gerald Ford dies last night. He was 93 years old.

Ford held the title as the longest living president in our nation’s history, and he is being remembered today for leading what the president called a “commonsense” administration.

Ford took office in 1974 after Nixon resigned in the face of scandal. Ford not only held the title of longest living President, but he was also the only un-elected President.

Magic Mountain Not Being Sold To Developers

Magic Mountain is here to stay.

Recently, rumors have made their way around town that Magic Mountain was up for sale, or that it had been sold to developers who were going to ruthlessly tear it down to build houses.

Shock vibrated through the community as many, including myself, were bewildered at the thought that the largest symbol of our town would be reduced to nothing more than track housing.

Little did I know that tearing the theme park down was never a plan.

Six Flags officials told us that they don’t know where the rumors came from.

Smyth Tackles LAUSD in New Bill

In the wake of a decision by the Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge declaring AB 1381 (Mayoral control) unconstitutional, Assemblyman Cameron Smyth (R-Santa Clarita), who represents the North San Fernando Valley, announced today that he will introduce legislation to break up Los Angeles Unified into smaller more accountable and manageable districts in early January.

    Santa Spotted Over Atlantic

KHTS has just learned that Santa’s sleigh has been spotted over the Atlantic Ocean.

Several residents in Greenland reported loud banging on their roofs, not but a few minutes ago, and Christmas Experts believe that he is on his way to the United States.

He should hit Santa Clarita around 3:00 tomorrow morning, and residents are being asked to put out any fires in their chimneys, and set out milk.

Santa has been listening to Nutrition for Everyone on Tuesdays with Mark Macdonald, and therefore any cookies left will be met with scoff and disdain.

Holidays Prime Time for Identity Thieves

Special Message from Sgt. James Anderson, SCV Sheriff’s Department:

The holidays are upon us. Gift giving and receiving make this a great time for families and friends, but it is also a great time for thieves. Are you going to be their next target? Do you protect your documents?

Potential thieves are out to get your identity. They will target your driver’s license, credit/debit cards, social security card, bank statements or business files.
