    The Chair of the California State Assembly Committee on Higher Education Anthony Portantino made a visit to Santa Clarita this afternoon to visit College of the Canyons.

    His visit was arranged by Assemblyman Cameron Smyth, who spoke very highly of his fellow Assemblyman, who is Democrat.

    Sand Canyon Trail Phase II Construction Will Begin

    City set to construct extension of multi-use trail.


     The City of Santa Clarita is set to start construction on the Sand Canyon Trail Phase II, to begin during the week of July 16, 2007.  This multi-use trail, an extension of the Sand Canyon Trail phase one, will be located on the west side of Sand Canyon Road, from Road Runner Road, south to Live Oak Springs Canyon Road.
