    Caretaker Mauled By Tiger At Shambala

    Man suffers multiple bites from tiger at compound.

     

    ImageA man was mauled when he was working with a tiger Monday afternoon at Shambala Preserve in Acton.

    The victim, described only as a male in his 40s, was treated by paramedics for multiple bites and was taken to Holy Cross Medical Center in Mission Hills.

    High school choirs to perform at toy drive kickoff.

     

    The public is invited to a grand kickoff of the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Annual Toy Drive from 5 to 7 p.m. Tuesday night at Power Honda. Enjoy refreshments and choirs from Sulphur Springs, Hart, West Ranch and Saugus High Schools singing Christmas and holiday songs to put everyone in the spirit of the season.

    Newhall Teen Dies In Shooting

    Murder being investigated by homicide squad.

     

    ImageCoroners officials said that the victim of an early-morning shooting on the 24100 block of Arch Street in Newhall was a teen.

    Captain Ed Winter said that identification of the young man was being withheld until next of kin could be notified.
