    Former Canyon High School infielder Josh Pipho is being remembered as a dedicated friend who put his family first. The popular baseball player, who graduated in 2005, was killed Saturday morning in a bloody melee in Stevenson Ranch that left his friend, Chad White, hospitalized.

    A former Canyon High baseball player was identified as the victim of an early morning homicide in Stevenson Ranch.


    20-year-old Josh Pipho was stabbed and run over during a fight on the 25200 block of Steinbeck Avenue and died at the scene. A second victim was also stabbed and remains in critical condition at the hospital.

    Small Brush Fire Contained in Agua Dulce

    Fire temporarily closes freeway

    ImageFirefighters quickly knocked down a series of suspicious brush fires Saturday afternoon in Agua Dulce.

     

    Los Angeles County Fire Captain Mike Brown said that the three fires, which were reported at 1:20 and put out an hour later, started next to the northbound 14 freeway, just south of Agua Dulce Canyon. The fires burned just short of a half-acre of light brush.
