    Rep. McKeon Invites Students to Academy Night 2005

     U.S. Rep Howard P. "Buck" McKeon (R-Santa Clarita) announced that his office will host an "Academy Night" to help inform students about the application and selection processes for U.S. Military Service Academies. The Academy Night will take place on Thursday, September 22, 2005 at 7:30 p.m. at William S. Hart High School (in the cafeteria), 24825 N. Newhall Avenue, in Santa Clarita.
     

    Antonovich Proposes County Join Effort to Preserve Plede of Allegiance

     Los Angeles - Supervisors Michael D. Antonovich and Don Knabe have introduced a motion directing County Counsel to prepare an amicus curie brief supporting the Sacramento County School District's position that the Pledge of Allegiance is constitutional for submission to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals.

    Thanks to one Valencia man, things are looking up for several families in the Gulf Coast who lost everything they had to Hurricane Katrina.  A donation drive for family members of local residents was held Sunday morning at the Valenica TCP Golf Course in Valencia, as members of the community dropped off everything from clothes, food, toys & beds...
