    For more information about this study abroad program, come to an informational meeting from 1 to 2 p.m. on Thursday Sept. 29, 2005 at College of the Canyons in R-206 in the library. Additional informational meetings will be held on Oct. 6 and Oct. 25, 2005, at the same time and place.
     
     

    Lane Closures for I-5 Carpool Lane Construction

    The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) will close the following lanes, ramps and connectors of the Golden State Freeway (I-5) as part of a $41.6-million project to construct High Occupancy Vehicle, (HOV), or carpool lanes, on northbound and southbound I-5 from State Route 118 to State Route 14:
     
    DAILY, Monday, 9/26 through Wednesday, 9/28:
    ·     5 a.m. to 2 p.m. – One lane of northbound I-5 from State Route 210 to
    State Route 14

    Providence Holy Cross Wins Top Award

    Providence Holy Cross Medical Center has been named as a 2005 Health Net " Honor Roll Hospital".  This top honor was achieved, along with Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center, because of participation in the Leapfrog and CHART Quality Programs. Commitment to Quality Improvement at Holy Cross is recognized by the Health Net Organization.
     
    All Health Net acute patient care admissions in the Santa Clarita Valley are being sent to Holy Cross.
     

    Three Runner Bills Signed By Governor

    Sacramento - Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger signed three pieces of legislation authored by Assemblywoman Sharon Runner (R-Lancaster).  AB 361 and AB 1517 fight identity theft by strengthening accountability for the practices of notaries and ensuring that convicted criminals cannot access medical information.  AB 646 prohibits the body piercing of minors without parental consent.

    The Business Expo at COC this past weekend was a great success.  Many attendees enjoyed the KHTS AM-1220 Passport program that enabled them to win a variety of fantastic prizes. 
     

    Construction at Highway 126/I-5 Nearly Complete
