In addition to their free recruitment event scheduled for Friday, May 31, the Santa Clarita WorkSource Center is offering job opportunities for anyone interested in a career in commercial equipment repair.

On Friday, May 24 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., at the College of the Canyons University Center, the WorkSource Center is holding an orientation sponsored by the Fast Track Institute.
The orientation will review a new employment training program that prepares students for entry level positions in the field of commercial foodservice equipment repair and service. Primary duties for someone in this field include technical installation, diagnostic troubleshooting and repairs on commercial industrial-grade food service appliances equipment and systems.
To qualify for the program, candidates must possess a high school diploma or equivalent; valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record for two years and willingness and ability to be involved with the emergency on-call rotation that may include nights and weekends. Candidates must also be able to read competently for information and be familiar with Applied Mathematics at WorkKeys level 3.
The course program is flexible during evenings, online and on weekends beginning May 31 through June 17. The course fee is listed at $1,695 but can be waived for qualified applicants.
