“More than 100 cars were brought to the event by people from all over the Santa Clarita Valley and beyond,” said Amanda Fox manager of Valencia Kia.
Every type of car was there, from the Ford Mustang to the Ariel Atom.
“I think it was a great turnout for the first year and we’re going to try to go on with it as far as annually.” said Fox “We’re going to make it bigger and better next year.”
Entrants had the chance of winning trophies and plaques from several different categories.
“We had 70 pre-registered cars and many people registered at the door. We had a lot of vendors, for chroming, accessories, rims and body kits.” said Gary Choppe producer of the event and owner of Choppe Advertising.
Food trucks, live bands, djs, and vendors added more fun to the event.
“This benefits the YMCA and Jay from Xtreme Audio was a co-sponsor,” said Choppe. “All of the vendors are local, it was great that many people came from out of town as well.”
There aren’t many car shows out in the Santa Clarita Valley, said Fox.
“it’s great to have started this one which we will hopefully continue to have in the future,” she said.
Car lovers of all ages came out to support the SCV YMCA and enjoyed all of the festivities.
“This year was our first, we dipped our toes in the water,” Fox said. “Now we know what we’re working with and we know what to do.”
KHTS AM 1220 would like to extend a congratulations to all of the car show winners.
