The art festival, which is free and open to the public, will be active from July 9 through July 13. More than 100 pieces of art will be featured throughout the four days by over thirty-eight local artists, at 26550 Heritage View Ln. in Valencia.
“We would like the public to view the art show anytime, and join our artists’ reception on Friday, July 13 from 4-7 pm. We’ll treat you to light appetizers and a no-host bar,” said Zony Gordon, event coordinator. “The exhibit is open everyday, from 9-6 pm, except Mondays. Artists will provide live demonstrations in a wide variety of styles and media. You’re invited to look over their shoulders and ask questions.”
The art festival is in its 24th year and hopes to make visual art visible. The SCAA provides free art instruction to residents, offers awards and scholarships to high school art students, loans art to medical facilities and offices to help patients and participates in local events.
“Even though the golf course is private to members, the restaurant is open to the public for lunch and dinner, and the food is fabulous. People gravitate from the restaurant and golf course to see high-quality art. We host corporate meetings, private parties, weddings, birthdays, celebrations and social events,” said Mike van der Goes, general manager and director of golf.
