The school’s annual Wrangler Round-Up will be held Oct. 18 at Richard Rioux Park.
The community event is served to entertain with activities for the whole family, such as face painting, carnival games and food.
This year’s Wrangler Round-Up contests will include a Chili Cook-Over and Cookie Bake-Off.
Students will also get the opportunity to pan for gold and stick on a velcro wall. Past Wrangler Round-Up activities included team-effort games, “Minute to Win It” challenges and a cake walk.
There will also be a silent auction for parents to participate in.
Stevenson Ranch Elementary’s Wrangler Round-Up is one of the school’s biggest events, taking “months to plan,” according to a school statement.
“The event has been going on for many years,” said Jessica Hansen, Stevenson Ranch Elementary School Office Manager. “The students who attend are really excited. There’s a lot of events for them and they get to see the teachers outside the classroom.”
School officials estimate that more than 300 students will attend this year’s event.
Wrangler Round-Up will be held from 3:30 to 7 p.m.
Admission is $15 per person.
Stevenson Ranch Elementary School officials also encourage students to participate in a school-wide Halloween spirit day event.
Students are invited to dress up on Oct. 31 and take part in a Halloween parade on-campus.
This is the first year Stevenson Ranch Elementary School students will be able to wear their Halloween costumes to school.
The costumes should be fun and lighthearted, according to Hansen. Costumes or accessories that pose a safety hazard, such as scary face painting and weapons, are prohibited.
The Halloween parade will begin at 8:30 a.m.
