Schools are letting out across the Santa Clarita Valley, and summer is approaching. With warmer weather and more free time, families looking for something to do will find no shortage of events and activities for all ages.

Six Flags Hurricane Harbor and Castaic Lake swim beaches will open for the season during Memorial Day Weekend, on Saturday, May 25.
Hurricane Harbor will be open on weekends only until June 7, and then daily through Labor Day, September 2. Castaic Lake swim beaches will also only be open on weekends until June 13, and then Thursday through Sunday until Labor Day.
For those interested in indoor activities, the Santa Clarita Master Chorale will be presenting “A Musical Menu” at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center on Sunday, June 2 at 3:30 p.m., featuring works from Bach to Broadway. Tickets range from $10 to $26.
The annual “Touch-a-Truck” fundraiser for the SCV Senior Center is also coming in June. Families can gather at Central Park on Saturday, June 15, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to interact with a number of police cars, fire engines, bulldozers and military vehicles. Admission is $5 per person or $4 if paid in advance online, and fathers accompanying their children are free.
