Santa Clarita Valley Crime Reports Are In For 10/14-10/20
With Halloween approaching, Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station deputies want to make sure that local families have a fun, safe holiday. They continued to crack down on crime this week, all across the SCV.

While responding to a burglary call on Sunday night, a deputy hydroplaned, lost control of his patrol car and crashed into several trees on McBean Parkway near Orchard Village Road. The car sustained major damage, but the deputy had only minor injuries.
Jake Heffernan, 19, of Valencia is due back in court on Wednesday, Nov. 6, after he was arrested for reportedly spray-painting explicit messages on vehicles and houses in his North Park community last week.
Deputies are currently seeking a suspect who reportedly kidnapped a woman from her car on Tuesday night. The victim was found unharmed in Sunland, after the suspect fled when the car ran out of gas.
Abraham James Bautista and Josh Right, both of Palmdale were arrested Wednesday in connection with three armed robberies on Oct. 15, including one that involved a stabbing.
Several suspects with connections to the Santa Clarita Valley appeared in court this week or had their cases continued.
Eric Earle, 41, of Saugus, had his case continued for a fourth pretrial hearing Tuesday. Earle is accused of murdering his girlfriend Karla Brada in September 2011.
Phillip Ely, 30, Lavelle Mosley, 23, and Terion Lamarr Collins, 26, are due back in court on Dec. 2, when the schedule for jury selection and further trial dates are expected to be discussed. The alleged members of the Rolling 40s Crips gang robbed a Canyon Country bank in 2012 before leading deputies in a pursuit to downtown Los Angeles.
Local deputies are hosting a drop-off box at the Santa Clarita Valley Station on Saturday as part of the National Take Back Initiative for prescription drugs, encouraging residents to dispose of their medicine in a safe and responsible way.

Below are reports from different Sheriff zone's throughout the SCV. KHTS lists the zones in alphabetical order and they are made available.
Here's a summary of incidents that took place in the last week in Santa Clarita.
Canyon Country east
During the week of Oct. 14-20, the following Part 1 crimes occurred in Canyon Country east:
(1) Grand theft auto, (1) Mail theft, (2) Residential Burglaries, (1) Grand theft.
During the past week we saw a reduction in Part 1 crimes in Zone 8. There were two residential burglaries reported in this area last week. The first incident occurred near the 27000 block of Lise Lane. In this incident 2 flat screen TV’s were stolen along with an Xbox and a iPad. Entry into the location is unknown due to no signs of forced entry seen into the location. The second incident occurred near the 18000 block of Danielson Street. In this incident the victim hear a loud crash coming from her garage. When she went outside to see what had happened she saw two male suspects running from her garage. Nothing was taken during this incident.
A mail theft occurred near the 16000 block of Lost Canyon Road. The suspect pulled up next to the victims mailbox in a white vehicle and stole his mail. The suspect stole mail tubes containing high value pictures. If you have any information regarding this incident please contact Santa Clarita Valley station detectives.
A red 2008 Toyota Sienna was stolen from the intersection of Sandy Drive and Annes Circle. The vehicle was taken between 6:30 p.m. on Oct. 4 and 9:20 a.m. on Oct. 15. The vehicle has still not been recovered.
Canyon Country west
This past week in Zone 7, the following Part-1 Crimes occurred:
(2) Grand Thefts, (4) Petty Thefts, (1) Shoplift and (1) GTA.
A grand theft occurred near the 19000 block of Soledad Canyon Road. A male suspect entered the location and took two interior surveillance cameras. The case is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station detectives.
A petty theft occurred near the 18900 block of Soledad Canyon Road. An unknown suspect took a wallet from the victim’s purse. The purse was left unattended in a shopping cart for a short time.
A petty theft occurred near the 18800 block of Soledad Canyon Road. A wallet was taken from an employee locker while the victim was at work.
A petty theft occurred near the 18900 block of Soledad Canyon Road. An unknown suspect took several gallons of used cooking oil from a storage container, which was located at the rear of the location.
A petty theft/shoplift occurred near the 18600 block of Via Princessa. Loss prevention personnel detained a male suspect after he walked out of the location, failing to pay for items he concealed in his pockets. The suspect was subsequently arrested by responding deputies.
A two door freight truck was taken near the 20700 block of Santa Clara Street. The truck was recovered several days later in the LAPD Foothill Division area.
Last week, the following Part 1 crimes occurred in Zone 6:
(3) Robberies, (1) Residential Burglary, (1) Vehicle Burglary and (2) Petty Thefts.
Two robberies occurred near the 24300 block of La Glorita Circle. During one incident, the suspect approached the victim from behind while she was standing in her garage and demanded her purse. When the victim refused, the suspect stabbed the victim in the face with a knife and ran away. Shortly after the first incident, the suspects attempted to rob a pedestrian who was walking in the same area. The suspect was unable to obtain anything from either victim. Earlier this week, two suspects were arrested in connection with the robberies. It has yet to be determined if the suspects are responsible for additional incidents occurring in the area.
A robbery also occurred near the 23500 block of Daisetta Drive. A male suspect approached the victim, produced a small firearm and demanded everything he had in his pockets. The victim gave the suspect his cellphone and the suspect fled the area in a lowered gray two-door 1990’s Ford Thunderbird. The case is currently under investigation by Santa Clarita Station Detectives.
A residential Burglary occurred near the 24000 block of Arch Street. An unknown suspect entered the victim’s locked bedroom and took several personal items.
A vehicle burglary occurred near the 25000 block of Newhall Avenue. An unknown suspect shattered the front passenger window of the vehicle and took the victim’s wallet from the center console.
There were four reported part-one crimes between the above dates in Zone 3. Here are some details regarding some of the reported crimes:
A residential burglary was reported to have occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 15 at approximately 3:25 p.m. This incident occurred on the 25900 Clifton Place, Stevenson Ranch. Santa Clarita Valley Deputies responded to the residence regarding a high end bicycle stolen from inside a garage, as the garage door was left open. Deputies immediately began an investigation and with the help of a witness, Santa Clarita Valley Deputies tracked one of three suspects to Pacoima. A 20-year-old Hispanic male was arrested by Santa Clarita Valley deputies in Pacoima. He was transported back to Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station. Although one suspect is in custody, this incident is still under investigation (ref -14153).
A petty theft from a vehicle was reported between Oct. 15 and Oct. 16. This incident occurred on the 24900 block of Constitution Avenue. A purse containing numerous prescription medications was reported stolen. There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle (ref -14187).
A petty theft was reported from the Macaroni Grill located on The Old Road. 100 gallons of used cooking oil were reported stolen (ref -14236).
A petty theft was reported from the Denny’s Restaurant located on Chiquella Lane. 200 gallons of used cooking oil were reported stolen (ref -14238).
