Santa Clarita Transit To Offer Shuttles To Santa Monica

The Santa Clarita Transit Beach Bus will be offering shuttles to Santa Monica, one of Los Angeles’ most popular beach sites.

The Santa Clarita Transit offers affordable weekend transportation for all ages.

Shuttles will be starting on Saturday, June 8 and will be running until Sunday, September 1.

“Going to the beach is a favorite pastime during the summer and we’re excited to offer residents an opportunity to use public transportation to travel to Santa Monica,” said Transit Manager Adrian Aguilar.

Beach buses will leave Santa Clarita at 8:40 a.m. and will arrive in Santa Monica at approximately 10:40 a.m.

“With the Beach Bus, beach goers will enjoy a comfortable ride with friends and family, and save money on gas and parking. There’s even room for beach balls, chairs, coolers and surfboard” said Aguilar.

Buses will leave Santa Monica at 3:30 p.m. to bring beach-goers back to Santa Clarita.

The Beach Bus will run Saturday and Sunday and will have convenient locations throughout Santa Clarita.

Saturday – Route 101

Arrives at Santa Monica Pier – 10:05 a.m.

Departs from Santa Monica Pier – 3:30 p.m.

  • Canyon Country Park

Depart at 8:40 a.m.;   Return at 4:40 p.m.

  • Soledad Canyon Road & Solamint Drive

Depart at 8:45 a.m.; Return at 4:45 p.m.

  • Soledad Canyon Road & Shangri-La Drive                 

Depart at 8:50 a.m.; Return at 4:50 p.m.

  • Via Princessa Metrolink Station

Depart at 8:55 a.m.; Return at 4:55 p.m.

Saturday – Route 100

Arrives at Santa Monica Pier – 10:15 a.m.

Departs from Santa Monica Pier -3:30 p.m.

  • Santa Clarita Park

Depart at 8:40 a.m.;   Return at 4:40 p.m.

  • Santa Clarita Metrolink Station  

Depart at 8:50 a.m.; Return at 4:50 p.m.

  • Cinema Drive Park ‘N Ride                

Depart at 8:55 a.m.; Return at 4:55 p.m.

  • McBean Regional Transit Center

Depart at 9:05 a.m.; Return at 5:05 p.m.

Sunday – Route 102

Arrives at Santa Monica Pier – 10:35 a.m.

Departs from Santa Monica Pier – 3:30 p.m.

  • Canyon Country Park

Depart at 8:40 a.m.;   Return at 4:45 p.m.

  • Soledad Canyon Road & Solamint Drive

Depart at 8:45 a.m.; Return at 4:50 p.m.

  • Soledad Canyon Road & Shangri-La Drive                 

Depart at 8:50 a.m.; Return at 4:55 p.m.

  • Via Princessa Metrolink Station

Depart at 8:55 a.m.; Return at 5:00 p.m.

  • Santa Clarita Metrolink Station

Depart at 9:10 a.m.; Return at 5:15 p.m.

  • Cinema Drive Park ‘N Ride    

Depart at 9:15 a.m.; Return at 5:20 p.m.

  • McBean Regional Transit Center

Depart at 9:25 a.m.; Return at 5:30 p.m.

Fares are $3 both ways for children and adults, $1.50 each way for people with disabilities and seniors age 60 and over.

Tickets are first come, first serve.

Tickets must be purchased using exact change or by using a Transit Access Pass (TAP).

Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.
