Jersey Mike’s of Santa Clarita is collecting donations of baby items for Help the Children Santa Clarita at all five locations until Dec. 14. The last day of the drive will feature festivities at the Golden Valley location, including a raffle drawing and a Santa Claus photo-op from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Donations like diapers, food, clothes and toys are welcome.

These items will be collected for Help the Children, a Santa Clarita non-profit that is dedicated to providing food, clothing, and personal care items directly to local children and adults in need.

For every item donated, customers will receive a free cookie from Jersey Mike’s and raffle ticket for a chance to win prizes in the drawing on Dec. 14.

Raffle prizes include Free Jersey Mike’s sandwiches for 3 months and others.

“We are so excited and grateful to be partnering with Jersey Mike’s here in Santa Clarita,” said Mike Santomauro, Director of Help the Children, in a statement. “Their commitment to bettering our community is inspiring, and their contributions to our efforts here at Help The Children with the Mini Mike’s Baby Drive and their weekly donations of subs for our clients has been such a blessing.”

In order to donate items, donors are asked to bring clean, gently used baby items to any Santa Clarita Jersey Mike’s location and deposit in a donation collection box.

Jersey Mike’s of Santa Clarita is known for it’s local philanthropy. In September, the sub sandwich shop helped raise over $8,000 for Golden Valley High School, and in February raised more than $4,000 to the WiSH Foundation to support local high schools.

Started at the Jersey Shore in 1956, Jersey Mike’s serves passionate fans who crave their subs made “Mike’s Way” with onions, lettuce, tomatoes and a signature olive oil blend, vinegar and spices.

The Jersey Mike’s experience always includes its trademark neighborly banter served up by a high-energy Jersey Mike’s team.

The Golden Valley location opened this September as the fifth store for franchise owner Steve Youlios.

The other four locations are in Saugus, Canyon Country, Stevenson Ranch, Valencia, and Golden Valley.
