Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall

Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall

The Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall is the largest traveling replica of the actual Vietnam Memorial Wall. It is an 80% replica with 100% of the names of the victims from the Vietnam War. The Wall creates an opportunity for communities to raise local awareness for its Vietnam veterans and to help our nation’s heroes, one community at a time.

Traveling Vietnam Memorial Wall Speech By Gary D. Mitchell

Families, Veterans, Friends – Good  Afternoon – I’m very privileged to be here to help honor the memory of these more than fifty-eight thousand fallen Service Members that paid the ultimate price on behalf of our Country and for all of us.

When President George Herbert Walker Bush visited the wall during his Presidency, he said, “Carved on these walls is the story of America, of a continuing quest to preserve both Democracy and decency, and to protect a national treasure that we call the American dream.”

Greetings, it’s an honor to share this stage with men that I genuinely admire.  It’s with somber affection to be before this magnificent Memorial Wall, and before you, this fine community, my family – my beautiful Mom - and so many wonderful friends.  But for the Grace of God, my name would be inscribed on this black granite wall along with so many of my fellow buddies.
