The Santa Clarita Valley Libraries are going to be celebrating ‘Read Across America Day’ by reading one of the world’s most beloved children’s authors, Theodore Seuss Deisel, better known as Dr. Seuss.
In honor of Read Across America Day and Dr. Seuss’ birthday, some of his most famous books like “Horton Hears a Who”, “The Cat in the Hat”, and “Oh, The Places You’ll Go” will be brought to life at your favorite Santa Clarita Library branch.

Read Across America Day is an annual reading motivation and awareness program designed to encourage communities to celebrate reading. It started in 1997 with the National Education Association (NEA) and has spread all across the country, inspiring young minds to pick up a book and open their imaginations for years past and for many years to come. This year’s event takes place on March 2nd, 2014.
