The event organizers are calling July 18-19 as National Day of Protesting Against Immigration Reform Amnesty and Border Surge on the group’s website.

A protest in conjunction with this event is set to be held at the Valencia Boulevard I-5 Overpass on Saturday, July 19 from 9 a.m. through noon.

“There is a very real security risk to Americans from drug cartels, gang members and terrorists – all of whom can cross our border with no resistance,” according to a press release sent out by the Make Protesters Against Immigration Reform Amnesty To Demonstrate In ValenciaThem Listen organization. “Adding insult to injury, American taxpayers are being forced to pay for transportation, housing, schooling, legal assistance and more for the illegals crossing our border.”

Their goal is to tell their representatives: “Any form of amnesty for illegals is not acceptable, the current surge of illegals crossing our border is not acceptable and must be stopped, our borders must be secured and our current laws enforced,” according to the Facebook page.

More than 4,000 people nationwide have RSVP’d to the Facebook page.

“Our Border Patrol is overwhelmed by the massive flow of illegal aliens crossing our border daily,” according to the press release. “Illegal aliens with communicable diseases and conditions such as tuberculosis, scabies, and head lice are entering our country unabated.”

The event organizers request that anyone who is attending a protest should RSVP to the Facebook page.

There have been no reports of a scheduled counter protest to the event.
