Fire personnel expect to fully contain the fire by Monday afternoon. The fire started May 30 and has burned through 30,274 acres, or 47.3 square miles.

The fire is estimated to cost $21,400,000 and has damaged 3 homes and 1 outbuilding. Thirty homes and 28 outbuildings have been destroyed by the blaze, which is currently near the Cottonwood Campgrounds.

Since the fire started several communities were evacuated, lost power, or been told to stay indoors so as not to inhale ash and smoke. Firefighters also held fire recovery workshops for the communities directly affected by the fire.
