Assembly Bill 1680 requires child protective services permit holders to post their permit number on all advertisements, including online advertisements for an additional layer of security for children in the entertainment industry.
AB 1680 will help parents verify safe and legitimate service providers as most casting calls are posted online to the public, according to officials.

AB 1906 provides community colleges with the opportunity to maintain their campus facilities from possible wear and tear, according to the law’s advocates.
Assembly Bill 1906 allows California community colleges to recuperate maintenance costs from organizations that use their campus facilities by expanding the definition of direct costs to include a proportional share of the cost of maintaining, repairing, or renovating facilities.

“These are important victories for families and community colleges,” said Wilk. “AB 1680 will take a further step to protect our children in the entertainment industry and AB 1906 will keep more money in community college classrooms while still maintaining facilities,” Wilk continued.
