Pico Canyon Fire Mostly Contained After Burning 1/4 Acre

A 1/4 acre fire in Pico Canyon is mostly contained after begining at 4:22 this afternoon.

A fire broke out in Pico Canyon today at 4:22 p.m, according to Melanie Flores, Supervisor Fire Dispatcher for the LA County Fire Department.

3 fire engines and two camp crews from the LA County Fire Department responded to the flames, according to Flores. A plane was called in response to the fire, but was called off after LA Country firefighters determined it was under control.

The fire is mostly contained and is not expected to burn more than 1/4 acre, according to Flores.
