Paul Walker, A Look At The Actor’s Life And Work

Hollywood actor Paul Walker, best known in the “Fast and the Furious” franchise movies, was killed after a tragic fiery car crash in Santa Clarita.

The fatal crash happened on Saturday, Nov. 30, 2013, at about 3:30 p.m., according to local deputies of the Santa Clarita Sheriff’s Department.

The actor went on a spin in a red 2005 Porsche Carrera GT with racing partner and friend, Roger Rodas, who was also killed in the crash.

He was born in Glendale, Calif., on September 30th, 1973, and has been a successful actor who referred to himself as an outdoorsman, ocean addict, and adrenaline junkie who did some acting on the side, accoes, according to his Twitter page.

He loved racing in southern California and had competed in several races including the Redline Time Attack series in 2010.

Walker raced in a BMW M3 as a part of the AE Performance team.

He owned Always Evolving, a high performance race car shop in Valencia, ranging from race cars to luxury cars.

Rodas was CEO of the Always Evolving car shop.

Walker also owned Hybrid Haven in Valencia, which performs service and repairs on all vehicles.

He was in the Santa Clarita Valley on Nov. 30 attending his nonprofit, Reach Out Worldwide, held at his race shop.

A racing enthusiast, Walker loved racing cars and shared the same hobby as Rodas.

Walker once said, “If speed kills me, do not cry, because I was smiling.”

After meeting on a racetrack in 2007, Rodas became Walker’s financial advisor, helping Walker with Always Evolving and his non-profit.

Rodas was a wealth advisor who graduated with a degree in Finance from the Wharton School of Business and worked for Merrill Lynch.

The pair shared the same thrill for racing, contributing to charities and love for their families.

Since 1985, Walker has been acting and became a heartthrob in Hollywood movies such as “Varsity Blues” and “She’s All That” in 1999, listed on IMdb.

However, it wasn’t until 2001 when he was cast as an undercover cop and street racer Brian O’Connor in the race car film, “The Fast and the Furious” that he would become internationally known.

Instagram and Twitter users have been hashtagging “FF7” and “TeamPW” with their posts and pictures in memory of Walker.

The “Fast and the Furious” franchise would become Universal Studio’s biggest franchise in history.

According to Box Office Mojo, the franchise accumulated over one billion dollars worldwide in the box office.

Walker was in the middle of filming “Fast & Furious 7” when he was killed in the car collision.

According to the Hollywood Reporter, “the director James Wan and Universal executives held a conference call Sunday morning to discuss the state of the film, whether rewrites would be necessary and how to proceed in a manner that would be respectful to Walker’s death.” Read full article here.

Paul Walker was known as a successful actor and car enthusiast and also a philanthropist.

He believed in contributing to others and helping people all over the world.

In 2010 he decided to create Reach Out Worldwide (ROWW), which consists of skilled volunteers who respond to disasters by assisting with resources and other necessities and assistance.

According to the ROWW Facebook page, “Paul Walker was truly an amazing person and his impact will be forever felt. Paul’s legacy and good will lives on through ROWW.”

Rodas helped Walker found the nonprofit organization and ROWW is also a sponsor of Always Evolving.

Walker was co-hosting a Toy Drive charity for children impacted by economic circumstances.

Walker lived in Santa Barbara with his two dogs and his only teenage daughter, Meadow, who had just moved in with him early last year.

Walker was a devoted father, son, and friend to many.

Paul Walker leaves a legacy that has touched millions of people through his film career, passion for cars and his dedication to helping people worldwide.

He was a humble person with a giving heart and his memories will live on through his movies, businesses and charity organization.
