Santa Clarita’s free tennis play event will be held on Sept. 14 at the Paseo Club from 4 to 6 p.m.

The United States Tennis Association is making an effort to get kids active and involved in tennis.

The event will feature kid-friendly changes, including shorter courts, smaller racquets and slower, lower-bouncing tennis balls.

The nationwide free tennis play events are free and open to the public, with the goal being to show how easy it is for families to get involved in the sport.
