One Lane Open On Highway 14 As Overturned Big Rig Backs Up Southbound Traffic
A big rig carrying over 39,000 pounds of meat overturned on its side after colliding with another vehicle on Highway 14 just south of Sand Canyon at approximately 4:10AM this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol. Both vehicles suffered significant damage, and emergency crews were called to treat injuries at the scene.
The collision blocked the number 2 and number 3 lanes, causing the CHP issued a SigALERT at 4:30AM until further notice.
Southbound commuters coming from Acton, Agua Dulce or the Antelope Valley are advised to take alternate routes to avoid the traffic delays. Traffic is currently backed up to Agua Dulce Canyon Road.
