Castaic families looking to cool down and enjoy some fun in the water this summer can visit the new Castaic Sports Complex Aquatic Center, which opens Friday at 11 a.m.

The $13 million facility features a 6,425-square-foot pool and a splash pad with an integrated recreation pool. The energy-efficient design is being considered for a Leadership in Energy and Environment Design Silver Certification.
The entrance to center is marked with “Bbubbles,” a civic art installation by visual artist Bob Zoell.
County Supervisor Michael D. Antonovich and Russ Guiney, director of the County Department of Parks and Recreation will be present for the ceremonial ribbon cutting.
